Our Goal

Our purpose is to provide a league for small Christian and Private schools, in the state of Florida, with an opportunity to compete in the All Sportsactivities and events.

 PHILOSOPHY

FCAPPS is a Christian-based organization and encourages all member schools to put God first and

to promote Christian values and principles to student athletes. We do not promote any particular

denomination, but the Word of God. We believe that coaches and staff should feel free to pray for

and with the student athletes at anytime in accordance with their school beliefs and/or policies.

This includes both pre-game and post-game prayer.

We do not believe in bringing lawsuits against our brothers in Christ.  We adhere to the two biblical

principals found in Matthew 18:15 - 17  (Brother Who Sins Against You) and  1 Corinthians 6:1 - 8  (Lawsuits among Believers). We feel it is our Christian duty and obligation to resolve all matters among

the membership.

 MISSION STATEMENT:

To offer a football program to small private high schools, Adult and Youth community recreational.

Through our league, the athletes will be giving the opportunity to experience spiritual, mental, and physical

growth and social development.

The athletes will learn self-discipline, self-motivation and develop the desire to do one's best. Coaches

will be able to use football to teach leadership, sportsmanship, and Biblical principles.

Our overall mission is to use football as a means to glorify God, and to bring others to Christ through the game of football.

Prayer doctrine

Our membership is open to Christian, Private, and Home school groups, or any others who shares in our beliefs, values and principles or any others that are willing to follow our rules and policies and understands that he/she, there players and fans, may be exposed to the word of God, i.e. Christian Music, and/or Religious tracks, flyers, a time of prayer and other forms ofcommunication that may be Christian based.

Our number one (1) purpose is to present Christ to others through the use of sports and other events. Therefore, be it now and forever understood that, after the conclusion of all FCAPPS games, events and activities the teams, contestants, will meet midway on the field or court and the coach, and/or staff member will say a short prayer. Students may lead this prayer if they wish  to do so.

This group prayer is the heart of our program. It should be taken seriously and with reverence to our Lord. This time of prayer should include

  1. Thanks for the safety of all players.
  2. Prayer for the injured.
  3. Safe passage as they travel back home.

Optional Private Prayer on the field, away from others:

A staff member should let it be known that they have a place to meet with anyone who wishes to meet in private for special or additional prayers.

It is FCAPPS recommendation that only males meet with males, and females meet with females.

Sports is not just a game, it’s a time for ministry.
